We fabricated the sink mounting post from a solid steel cylinder, cut and shaped in our workshop over 1 day to ensure precise dimensions for the island at 4600 Gillis. The post was powder-coated in a satin black finish to match the kitchen’s design, adding a protective and stylish layer. Installation took half a day, with our team anchoring the post into the floor and securing it to the countertop, ensuring stability for the sink while leaving ample space for the seating area around the island.

The challenge during fabrication was ensuring the post’s diameter and height allowed for comfortable seating without compromising sink support. We adjusted the design in the workshop, tapering the post slightly at the top for a sleek profile, and during installation, we used a custom base plate to distribute weight evenly across the floor, maximizing stability.

The sink mounting post features a satin black powder-coated finish, blending seamlessly with the kitchen’s black countertops and barstool frames. Its minimalist cylindrical design adds a modern touch, while the gold accents in the kitchen highlight its understated elegance.
