Fraxair
acetylene cylinders
Background
Pele, the Hawaiian goddess of fire and volcanoes, names these Fraxair acetylene cylinders. Known for her fiery power, Pele embodies the intense energy of welding flames. At 360 Metalwork, we chose Pele for its role in fueling welds for projects like the Gillis sink post, bringing volcanic heat to our Austin workshop.
How It Works
Fraxair acetylene cylinders store acetylene gas under pressure, paired with oxygen for oxy-acetylene welding. A regulator controls gas flow, and a torch mixes the gases, producing a flame up to 6,000°F. Pele’s cylinders deliver a steady supply, ensuring consistent heat for cutting or welding steel with precision.
What It Does
Pele powers our welding, creating strong joints for Sunridge staircases and Lakeway handrails. These cylinders enable 360 Metalwork to cut and weld steel, crafting durable, beautiful metalwork. Pele’s fiery output ensures clean cuts and solid welds, supporting our high-end residential projects with the intensity of a volcano goddess.
